mecom at the conference of the German National Research and Education Network (DFN)

DFN

The motto of this year’s conference of the German National Research and Education Network (DFN – Deutsches Forschungsnetz) was “Sicherheit in vernetzten Systemen” (Security in networked Systems). Experts from the fields of science, business and authorities met at Hamburg’s Grand Elysée Hotel to exchange views on the manifold aspects of information security.

With around 350 participants each year, the DFN conference is now firmly established as one of Germany’s biggest security conventions.

Our colleagues Kai Hagedorn, Sascha Denk and André Sowinski participated and gathered many new insights on cybersecurity and data privacy. Of particular interest to us were insights into the detection of threats in KRITIS networks using open-source forensics as well as an outlook on current developments in cybersecurity regulation.
